TMJ - Jaw Pain
Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction is a disorder of the muscles of mastication (or chewing), the temporomandibular joints and associated structures. Symptoms include but are not limited to:
- Most common in people between 15 and 45 years old
- Jaw Pain
- Jaw clenching or bruxism
- Postural dysfunction such as head forward posture
- Popping or clicking with jaw movement
- Headache in forehead and temple area
- Spasm of facial muscles
- Ear stuffiness, blockage or hearing loss
- Decreased range of motion in jaw
