Degenerative Disk Disease
Degenerative Disk Disease is degeneration of the annular fibers (collagen layers that hold two vertebrae together) of the intervertebral disc. Symptoms include but are not limited to:
- Painful chronic facet joint pain
- Neck stiffness and pain into the shoulders which is often worse on one side
- Loss of reflexes
- Headaches in the lower back of the head
- Pain in lower back, hip and leg that worsens with prolonged activity
